As we approach the end of 2019 I want to give you a “heads-up” on some events that are awaiting us in 2020. First, we will have our annual “Weekend of Prayer” on January 10-12. Our speaker will be Rev. Alexander Brown. Rev. Brown is a native of Scotland, and is serving as the Pastor of Golden Isles Presbyterian Church on St. Simons Island. Following an internship at the Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Rev. Brown accepted the call of G.I.P.C. to be their pastor. He studied History at the University of Dundee, and then attended the Free Church of Scotland College in Edinburgh to study theology. He moved to the United States in the Fall of 2007 and married his wife Sara, who is a native Floridian. They have two children, Ada who is 10 and Campbell who is 8. Rev. Brown will be speaking on Friday evening, Saturday morning and evening, and at both services on the Lord’s Day. Each message will be followed by a season of congregational prayer, except on Sunday morning. On Sunday morning the Education Hour will be a joint meeting of all classes and the time will be spent in prayer. Pray that the Lord will graciously meet with us as we gather during this weekend to hear His Word and to pray.
