Dear Friends of Trinity Christian School,
It is hard to believe that we are already in the final quarter of the 2018-2019 school year. As I write this, our juniors and seniors are departing for their Europe trip. This is the eleventh time we have taken juniors and seniors to Europe, dating back to the first senior class in 1999. This 17-day trip is really the culmination of many years of studying the history and culture of people from all over the world that begins in kindergarten and continues through 12th grade. In addition to being able to see history and art from the Roman Empire to the Renaissance to modern times, students will also experience another part of God’s creation. Our hope is that this trip broadens our students’ horizons beyond Statesboro and Georgia so they can see that there are needs and opportunities to serve God around the world.
The Lord has truly blessed our efforts this year. We are continuing to make progress toward a higher level of accreditation through the Association of Christian Schools International. Our new chess program had a fantastic year, finishing first in the GICAA state tournament at the elementary level. We added over 50 new Chromebooks in upper and lower school for students to use. Our students are learning to apply God’s word in academics and on the playing field. We have a great group of faculty who are committed to Christ, to teaching from a biblical perspective, to growing as teachers, and who want to have an impact on the lives of their students each day.
TCS, like all private schools, depends on generous donors to cover the gap between tuition and the true cost of educating our students. Our Annual Fund drive covers that gap, and if we exceed our goal, those funds are used for additional enhancements to our program.
So far, we have raised about one-third of our $30,000 Annual Fund goal for 2018-2019. Recently an anonymous donor has offered a $10,000 matching gift in order to help us raise the remaining $20,000 needed for this year. Every dollar you give will be matched until we reach our $30,000 goal. Will you please prayerfully consider supporting the ministry of Trinity Christian School so we can finish this year with a balanced budget and continue to enhance the Christ-centered education we provide to our students?
Thank you for your continued support of Trinity Christian School.
