Opening Program and "Kick-off" Missions Banquet.  Cost: $6.00/person or $20.00/family
 

7:30 pm

Service and introduction of missionaries; Rev. Tom Patton preaching; Goeksan Cik shares a testimony of God's grace and mercy. Nursery for infants, program for toddlers 3-5 year olds, and 6-9 year olds.

Saturday, March 3 2007

8:00 am

Men's Breakfast ($5.00). Dad's will return home in time to watch their children during the Women's Brunch.

Women's Brunch ($3.00)

Prayer meeting  for missions

Rev. Tom Patton preaches at both 8:30 am and 11:00 am services.

Adult Education Hour (all adult classes in the sanctuary). The College Class and the Junior/Senior High Classes in Westminster Hall. Participants in the Conference will share in some of the Sunday School Classes.

Rev. Tom Patton
Missions Pastor of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Orlando, FL

Rev. Patton is a native of Macon, Georgia. He and his wife Dianna have four children. Pastor Patton is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary and served as a missionary to Japan for ten years after which he took the position of Missions Pastor at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Orlando, Florida where he presently serves.  He is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University and was involved in the early days of Trinity Church when it was a mission of Central Georgia Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America.  Tom taught the first Sunday School class for children when Trinity Church met in the Time Saver at Groves Lake.  He has been the Missions Pastor of the St. Paul’s Church since 1998.  He is a good friend of Pastor Barnes and traveled with him to Quito, Ecuador in January of 2003.

 

Mr. Sacha Walicord
German Reformation Project

Sacha is from Austria and has a deep passion for the revival of the Reformation lands of Europe.  After pursuing careers in the airline industry and in law, he now believes that he is called to the Gospel Ministry.  Sacha is seeking to establish the German Reformation Project which will focus on Church Planting in the German speaking nations of Europe.

"Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God may open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ" Col. 4:2-3

 

Mr. Goeksan Cik
Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and German Reformation Project

Goeksan is also from Austria although his parents are from Turkey.  He was converted under the ministry of Sacha Walicord and is now studying for the Gospel ministry at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, SC.  He too is part of the German Reformation Project.

 

 

Mr. Berti Kona
Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary

Berti Kona was born in Albania and was raised under a communist system until 1990. His family comes from an Eastern Orthodox background, but he did not receive much religious training.  After the communist regime fell, the religious ban was lifted and missionary work started in AlbaniaBerti was converted in 1992 when reading the New Testament for the first time. Since then he has been drawn toward ministry, especially church planting, believing this to be his calling. Berti arrived in the States in September of 2001 and began his training for ministry at GPTS. Berti plans to be ordained as a PCA minister by the Calvary Presbytery and sent by his church, WRPCA as a church-planter to AlbaniaBerti's vision is to establish a Reformed and Presbyterian denomination in Albania, faithful to the glory of God and to the Great Commission.
